Welcome to Funday Friday Challenge #98 over at  Jo's Scrap Shack

Our theme for this week is "Sketch"
This is the sketch for the week
I started out creating a background on watercolour paper. To allow my sentiment to fit I made my card landscape.  Then following the diagonal stripe of the sketch I placed 3 different washi tapes down from my stash.  My flowers are from Close to My Heart.  The smaller of which I coloured with a Finecolour Marker.  In the end I didnt like the colour so I covered it with white ink and topped it with a pink sequin.

My sentiment comes from the Unity Stamp Company's set "Your Heart and My Heart"  To finish off my card I sprinkled Shabby Pink Fran-tage embossing powder from Stampendous.  This embossing powder you heat from below to make it melt.  It was the first time I have used it and was pretty happy with the result.

Our Sponsor this week is Lawn Fawn  who will give our winner 1 stamp set & 1 6x6 paper pad.

I hope you join in with us - Come on get creative.

I'm excited to see what you create!

I plan to enter the following challenges:-

Through the Craft Room Door Challenge  - Anything Goes

Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes
Unity Friends with Flair - Anything Goes with Unity Stamps

Have a great week

My stamp -  "Your Love Blows Me Away" by Phyllis Harris at Unity Stamps was coloured with Copic Markers and then cut out and added to the gift bag.
I lined up the image up so one of the ribbons on the present acts like a bow on the girls head :D

I then added crystal glass to the balloons.

Welcome to Funday Friday Challenge #35 over at  Jo's Scrap Shack

Our theme for this week is "Celebrate" and our sponsor  is Bugaboo and I have used the cute image "Girlz Fairy 2"

My image has been coloured with copic markers .  I needed a perch for my fairy to sit on and I found the perfect one - this cute little toadstool by Unity Stamp Company -  "Mushroom Cottage" which again is coloured with copic markers.

I couldn't decide on background papers so I created some simply myself.  I dabbed white ink onto some blue card with a cotton ball to make some clouds.  I then tore up some green scraps and created my grassy meadows :D  I then stamped in the flower which is a snowflake from 3 Twenty Crafts "Winter Wonderland" set and created my crazy grass with copics.  I stamped out my sentiment and matted it with the same blue card.

I hope you join in with us - Come on get creative.

Welcome to Funday Friday Challenge #22 over at  Jo's Scrap Shack

Our theme for this week is "Anything Goes"

Our Sponsors this week include Fitztown and Bugaboo

I never have a bookmark when I need one so I decided to make myself one.
I created the background using Smooch Sprays - Twinkling Navy and Cherry Ice.  I then stamped my background from The Unity Stamp Company - Tea Time Pattern in Silver ink.

My image is from Fitztown - "Halloween 1" which was printed onto watercolour paper and coloured with a combination of watercolour pencils and my inks which I just smooched the pad onto my craft mat and adding water to give the water-colour effect.   I attached my image after fussy cutting it then I edged the image with a black marker.

I used scraps of ribbon in a burgundy and white.

I hope you join in with us - Come on get creative.

Our theme for this week has been chosen by my DT sister Brenda and is "National Women's Friendship Day"

Our Sponsor this week is Kenny K Digital Downloads - I used their fabulous digital image Jasmine.
My image "Jasmine" has been coloured with copic markers .  I used a piece of lace on my card base that I had coloured for a different project but in the end just didn't suit.  I then layered on my patterned paper.  I created rolled roses from offcuts of my PP.  My sentiment "Hello" is from The Unity Stamp Company the background and the image are again coloured with Copics.

This week I created a canvas as a gift for my beautiful niece Alexandra for her baptism. I even get to be Godmother!!! Very exciting.

I covered the canvas in tissue paper which I crinkled a little. I then sprayed it with various inks, sprinkled on some perfect pearls, dripped on some paint and stencilled some chevrons. I also stamped out the Phyllis Harris' stamp Your Wings Exist by Unity Stamp Company. It also just happens to be on sale 50% off 25th-29th April. I then scanned and increased the size of the image by 200%, printed it on cardstock and coloured it with copics.

I added a doily to the top left corner and used liquid pearls for the first time. I love the effect.

I added lace to the base which I had also coloured. The sentiment is stolen from the same stamp set and is from a white alpha that I coloured. I sealed it all and then rubbed some gold kindy glitz over the top to give it all a little sparkle. I am soooo pleased with this canvas.

I then created a card to go with the canvas and used a CTMH flourish stamp to mimic the wind. I plan to enter my card into Unity's Friends with Flair.

My next challenge with Joann @ Jo's Scrap Shack is to be inspired and create a project with stencils and stamps.

I had a busy week with life and nightshift getting in the way and I had sprayed a couple of stencils with a variety of glimmer mists onto some white 12x12 CS and that sat there waiting for further inspiration or time.... Fast forward a week and I am away with some girls for a cropping weekend and one of the mini challenges was to make a name badge. So I have whipped out my stencil sprayed sheet and cut out a section for the name badge (you can see a flower and a dragonfly) and then I stamped the lace border with a new stamp set that I arrived from Unity last week called "Straight Laced". I finished it off with a paper flower and a yellow baby brad attached to the plastic cover of the name badge.

This weeks challenge with Joann @ Jo's Scrap Shack is to be inspired by the color inspiration for the February {be inspired} Unity challenge

I started with the background Boho Chic "Box Flower" patterned paper from Making Memories which was sized the same as my folded white cardstock base. On a piece of the leftover PP I stamped the greeting and the ribbon which are both Unity stamps that I have from a grab bag. I then coloured the ribbon with Copic Marker RV 25 cut it out and raised it using mounting tape. I edged my PP with the same Copic Marker. I then cut two pieces of organza ribbon which I arranged on the PP in an X and attached onto the back of the PP. I then attached the PP to my base CS. I had previously coloured the "Melinda hugging heart" Whiff of Joy image with copics. I attached the image to the PP with mounting tape.

I plan to enter my card into the and Unity's Friends with Flair on Friday as well as the colour inspiration part of the February {be inspired} Unity challenge.

This weeks challenge with Joann @ Jo's Scrap Shack was to follow the Mojo Monday Sketch 281 with the addition of two buttons.

I started with black cardstock and stamped the flowers from an old Stampin Up set with Versamark. I then colored over them with perfect pearls. I outlined the flowers with a white gel pen and then fussy cut them out. Then I stamped "Giving it All Meaning" from The Unity Stamp Company in CTMH white daisy ink. To create the background. I then cut out the background slightly smaller than my black card base and inked around the edge.

Then I attached my ribbon from my stash and two small buttons onto my ribbon. I finished it off by arranging my flowers and popping them up at different levels to give some dimension.

Lastly I drew in stitching with my white gel pen.

I plan to enter my card into the Mojo Monday challenge and Unity's Friends with Flair on Friday.

Keep tuned for our next challenge where we are going to be inspired by this month's color inspiration for the February {be inspired} Unity challenge

My next personal challenge with Joann @ Jo's Scrap Shack was to create a card or layout with 2 diff patterns stamped, colored, inked or PP. With the addition of stitches/sewing hand, machine or stamped

So I stamped the image from the Unity stamp set "Happiness is ...." on white card stock and coloured with copic markers. The shirt and shorts were paper pieced. The patterned paper I used was Crate Paper "Notebook" from the Katlin collection. One side was used for the pink background an the piecing of her shorts. The opposite side was used for the shirt piecing and the scallop below the image. I also hand stitched the scallop following the stitch lines on the patterned paper.

Keep tuned for our next challenge - a sketch with the addition of buttons

My next challenge with Joann @ Jo's Scrap Shack was to create an inspirational card using the wax paper resist technique.

I am late in posting as we had some computer glitches here.

I had not used this technique previously so my first attempt didn't work as planned (I used a pigment ink instead of a dye ink) but was still good enough to use in a different project.

Having no gloss card stock for my background I used photo paper. The ink I used was Close to my Heart "Bubblegum". I then inked the edges with my Memento "Tuxedo Black".

I stamped my image & sentiment which arrived in the mail this week from The Unity Stamp Company. It is by illustrator Phyllis Harris, from the set "your wings exist". I colored the image with copics and pieced her dress using a scrap of purple patterned paper.

I matted the sentiment and image using black cardstock, elevating the sentiment using foam tape.

Keep tuned for our next challenge a Valentine tag.

My good friend Joann @ Jo's Scrap Shack and I are challenging each other to get more creative this year.

Jo set the first challenge a card using tan/white/green/brown.

This is my creation.

The background is Unity Stamp Company's "Tea Time" pattern. The image is from Leave Memories "Beautiful Women" set and the greeting is by Grace Taylor

Keep tuned for our next challenge an inspirational card using the wax paper technique.

In my travels through blogs hops of late I have come across a stamp company that is new to me and I have fallen in love. The Unity Stamp Company has hundreds of beautiful stamps and weekly and monthly stamp or kit clubs.

At the moment the owner is having a birthday sale - 40% off

I took advantage and some of the wonderful stamps are on the way. I can't wait to share some creations using them soon.
