Welcome to Funday Friday Challenge #41 over at  Jo's Scrap Shack

Our theme for this week is "Clovers of Luck" so create any project with a Clover/Luck/St Patrick's Day feel

Our Sponsor this week is Lawn Fawn.  Check out Jo's blog for a list of prizes.

For my creation I decided to make a block/tag to be put onto a scrapbook page for St Patricks Day out of a coaster.

First I stamped the coaster on the diagonal with the larger striped border stamp from 3 Twenty Crafts "Background Builders" Set with Close to my Heart Topiary ink leaving large areas between each stamped image.  I then coloured the thin "white" area of the image with a  copic marker.

The large areas left between the stamped images were then filled with a striped green washi tape.

Next I coloured with copic markers the pilgrim hat from the 3 Twenty Crafts "Happy Harvest" set.

I found my pot of gold after a google image search.  This again was coloured with copics.  My title was printed using my word processing program. and edged using my copics.  I added the title and two images to my block with foam tape.  At this stage I thought the title needed something extra so I added four dots of gold liquid pearls at the edges.

I hope you join in with us - Come on get creative.

Hi this Kellie I am being "Highlighted" over at Jo's Scrap Shack today as a new feature to get to know members of the Design Team.  I want to tell you a little bit about me before I talk about my project.

I've been scrapbooking since the late 90's in one form or another and met Jo whilst I lived in the USA.  I now live back in Australia working as an Enrolled Nurse and caring for my Dad who suffers from Parkinsons Disease and Dementia. I do still scrapbook occasionally but the majority of my crafting time is now spent card making as part of the Design Team at Jo's Scrap Shack and card swapping with many of my friends in the US.  I love to try new techniques and I'm often found trying to scrub my inky hands clean before flying out the door to work. :D

My project today was made using two of Joann's stamps sets from 3 Twenty Crafts -

I first stamped the small ribbon and the dotted ribbon from Background Builders in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto white cardstock on the diagonal.
My next layer I stamped the same two stamps onto black card with Close To My Heart Vanilla Cream ink.  It looked a little flat to me at that stage so I added the yellow poker dot ribbon to the panel to bring in some colour and texture.
To finish off my card I  stamped a sentiment and the beautiful design element from "Say it from the Heart" onto black card.  I then doodled my stitches with white gel pen around the border and popped it up on the black panel with foam tape.

I was very happy with the result - a quick simple card in the matter of minutes

Thats it for me today.

Have a great week

A Nice surprise

Wow what a nice surprise for me - I was picked as the winner of the Qutest Quirk over at The Stamping Chef for my creation using "Bad Bra"  on my FFC #38 submission.
This is a big thing for me - its my first award :D

Have a great week

Welcome to Funday Friday Challenge #19 over at  Jo's Scrap Shack

Our theme for this week is "Florals"

Our Sponsors this week are Bugaboo Stamps and Limited Runs.  My digi comes from Limited Runs - it is called "Alien Love" - Isn't he a cutie??
I coloured with copics then die cut the image and border mat then edged them with copics.  I then attached my PP to the card front and then the matted image on top.  I wrote my sentiment again matting it with the PP.  To finish I edged everything with copics.

I hope you join in with us - Come on get creative.
