Hello Again

Hello

I can't quite believe it has been nearly three years since I was here.

I moved house and then got sick with a number of things and my creativity has suffered.

So I am doing a push to get going again.

I joined a Taster Week with the beautiful Tamara Laporte from Willowing Arts for her upcoming course Kaleidoscope 2020.

The first lesson was a painting of Athena. Following step by step I produced the following watercolour painting.

Athena
I can't quite believe I painted this.  I additionally used some coloured pencil, gelato and Pitt pens.

Check out Willowing for many beautiful creations and lessons.  You won't be sorry.

Have a great week

Welcome to Funday Friday Challenge #192 over at Jo's Scrap Shack

Our theme is "Always Anything Goes"

Our Sponsor this week is KennyK Digital Stamps  with a 3 pack of digis going to a single winner.

I have used their fabulous digital image "Cat".
I decided with birthdays coming up for my two little nieces I would make them a bookmark each.  I copied the image onto my background patterned paper with a little quote about reading.  I then copied the image onto my six pieces of patterned paper which I then cut out and paper pieced onto my background paper.  I then coloured the tag on the collar with a gold glitter marker.
Hint: I have a scrap piece of paper that I print the image on.  I then adhere with double sided tape each piece of patterned paper where I need it to print.  This saves using up too much paper for the smaller pieces.

I hope you join in with us this week - Come on get creative.

I'm excited to see what you create!

Welcome to Funday Friday Challenge #188 over at Jo's Scrap Shack

Our theme is "Always Anything Goes " but this week we have an optional twist to use at least 2 patterned papers and no solids.

We are sponsored this week by:-
Bugaboo - prize - 4 digital stamps
Sunny Studio Stampsprize - $20 gift card to store

I have used the Bugaboo digital image "Turtles Birthday".
My image has been watercolored with Bienfang Watercolor Brush Pens, and Kuretake Gansai Tambi Water Colours. I used 4 different patterned papers from my scraps.

Since this birthday card will go to my youngest niece I had to pop a bit of bling and sparkle on there, so using up my stash I found some flowers and jewels.  I know she will love it.

I hope you join in with us - Come on get creative.
I'm excited to see what you create!

I made a birthday card using a digital image from A Day for Daisies called "Butterfly Girl".  It is very apt since this blog has given me wings.  My blog was started in 2012 also after encouragement from Jo so we could share our creations and inspire one another which I am sure it has.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY Jo and your little Scrap Shack!!!!

My background is watercolored using Kuretake Gansai Tambi Water Colours.  My image was coloured using Copic Markers. This was then cut out and pasted onto a yellow mat and then onto a teal mat cut out using my Scan N Cut.  My sentiment was from my stash. I coloured it in sections to echo the watercoloring.

My nieces also got into the joy of creating with a little bit of help from Aunty Kellie and Nan.

Our theme is Always Anything Goes

Our Sponsor this week is  Bugaboo Digi Stamps- 7 digital stamps to the winner

I have used their fabulous digital image "Beach M inner tube".
My image has been coloured with copic markers, then I paper pieced it to give some dimension.  My background is one I made using watercolours. The sentiment was one I found in my stash.  I stapled it on to my background. I edged my card base in black copic before adhering the background and then the image.

Welcome to Funday Friday Challenge #184 over at Jo's Scrap Shack

Our theme is " Always Anything Goes"

Our Sponsor this week is Little Blue Button Stamps   4 digis to a single winner

I have used their fabulous digital image "Flower Lips".
Once I got started with this great image I couldn't stop.  I found some great quotes in my stash from years ago - Colorbok Vellum Quotes - Nature.

I watercolored my first two images using Gelatos.  I rubbed them onto my non stick craft sheet and added water.  For the pattern on the clothing I sprinkled on some Brushos onto the wet image.

The back of the vellum quotes were laid over the left over wet Gelatos then lifted to allow drips etc

The last image was watercolored using Brushos

I hope you join in with us - Come on get creative.
I'm excited to see what you create!
