Welcome to Funday Friday Challenge #92 over at  Jo's Scrap Shack

Our theme for this week is "Fathers Day"

Our Sponsors this week are Bugaboo Digi Stamps  and A Day for Daisies who kindly gifted me their fabulous digital image "Owl Auntie".

My background paper is from my scraps- this was adhered to my card base and I then wrapped  the  card three times with some knitting cotton that I had in my stash left over from a cardigan I made years ago.

My image has been coloured with Copic markers and Kindy Glitz added to the hearts and parts of the owl.  This was then mounted onto red CS. The sentiment I stamped onto white card  with ink from Close to My Heart, and then to bring it all together I added some pale pink squiggles to the sentiment block. The stamps have been in my stash for probably 10 years and I have no idea of branding - a dollar store buy probably :D  This block was again mounted onto red CS

I hope you join in with us - Come on get creative.

Welcome to Funday Friday Challenge #70 over at  Jo's Scrap Shack - our first challenge for 2015

Our theme for this week is "Its a New Year Bling it On"

We have a brand new sponsor this week  Little Blue Button Stamps.  They have an awesome array of digital stamps and links to where you can find some of them in rubber.

I have used the fabulous digital image "Watering plants Ivy".

My image has been coloured with Spectrum Noir markers.   I then used glitter from my stash on the hat band and petticoat, and Kindy Glitz (Crystalina) on the flower topping it off with a sequin.

I was lucky enough to receive Gelatos for Christmas so this was my first time playing with this medium to create my background.  I found a stencil/mask in my stash - I'm not sure of the brand - I think it was picked up at the local dollar store.   I just placed it down and scribbled some of the gelato over the top blending with my fingers and on some spots with a little water.  I loved the smooth creaminess of the gelato   I can see me using them again on some upcoming projects.

To finish it off I used white daisy "Just Blooms" from Close to My Heart.  These were coloured again with the gelatos. I just rubbed over the surface of the flower and wet it with a paintbrush to blend once dried I popped a sequin in the middle of each.

I hope you join in with us - Come on get creative - use that BLING.

This weeks winner will receive 4 digis

I'm excited to see what you create!

After much encouragement from friends I embark upon my blog journey to share some of my creations thoughts and life.  Hopefully it will also encourage me to be more creative and to be part of challenges.

So welcome I hope you can find some inspiration here from a little card making scrapbooker in Australia.

The lead up to Christmas has been busy.  Dad ended up in hospital for three weeks and being with him for up to ten hours a day in shifts it has us dragging our feet with Christmas preparations.  We got him home but after an initial great period he still had an infection which we are treating at home.  Keeping fingers crossed that we have seen the end of the hospital stays.

I am not sure what craziness came over me when I suggested that I make the 250 Christmas cards this year.  Well they are all ready to go.  Here are some of them drying after Kindy Glitz was applied.
Thanks for popping in - hope to see you again soon.
