This is my card.

My PP comes from an old 6x6 paper pack from TLC.
My image is a digital stamp from Whimsy Stamps called "Birdie Friend" this is coloured with Copics and Spectrum Noir. The image and red CS layer were cut using QuicKutz Nesting Scallops dies.
The card was outlined with a Copic and finished off with a piece of ribbon from my stash.

Welcome to my first post as a member of the Design Team for Jo's Scrap Shack 

There are a number of new things happening at Jo's.  One of which is the weekly Funday Friday Challenge.

Our challenge this week is to be inspired by this sketch by our talented DT member Amanda.

This is my card.

I started with a black cardstock base, the black strip along the middle and the four squares.  All were outlined with metallic blue marker.  I then stamped the squares with a variety of stamps by Michael Strong "Cloisonné Leaves", "Cloisonné Flower", "Cloisonné Pot", and "Cloisonné Vase", using Close to My Heart "Colonial White" and positioned them on an angle along the strip with gold gel pen doodles in the spaces on the strip.

I finished off the card with some bling from my stash.

This weeks challenge with Joann @ Jo's Scrap Shack is to use the colours grey blue and to use embossing.  I made a Mothers Day card for my awesome Mum.  I used black cardstock for my base which I folded and embossed using the Honeycomb Textured Impressions embossing folder from Stampin Up.  I then rubbed the raised areas using Colonial White ink from CTMH.

I then embossed a number of blue and grey pattern paper scraps and cut them out to fit inside the hexagons creating the flower pattern.  I then used some grey ribbon to form the stems and leaves and stamped the sentiment and the lips.

The card is very different from my initial vision and I am yet to decide whether I like it or not.  The important thing is Mum loved it and in the end that is all that matters.

Welcome to the One Year Blogaversary Blog Hop of Jo's Scrap Shack!!

I can't believe it is a year since a number of Joann's friends encouraged her to do some creating and what a year it has been.

In celebration I created this cute little card

My base is black cardstock with the patterned paper from Crate Paper.  I just love this paper it is my last little scrap left.  My main stamp is a freebie I got a while back included in a magazine.  Isn't he just adorable?

I colored him with Copic Markers Warm Greys W0, W3, & W6 and the surrounding sky with B000.  The grass was a combination of Copic G24 and Spectrum Noir CG2, DG3 & JG6

I cut the image and the purple glitter CS using QuickKutz  Nesting Scallops. The sentiment is a stamp from Close To My Heart "Cherish the Moment" set which I hand cut out along with its glitter CS.

I crossed some ribbon across the PP layer and secured it on the back before attaching the PP to the base.  The sentiment was then attached over the top of the ribbon with one thickness of foam tape.  The image was then attached using two layers of the foam tape.

I then doodled around the edge of the card with a purple Faber-Castell metallic colour marker
